The Rise Of Richmond Rap is more than a hashtag. It’s a musical revolution in our city. I have witnessed the Richmond Hiphop take it’s destiny and it’s culture into it’s own hands. A place that they used to say didn’t have it’s own sound has shown that our diversity is what makes us most unique. When i first coined this phrase I didn’t know it would be adopted by the artists in the city the way it has. This playlist series is designed to show our diversity and how much talent we have brewing. This first one is comprised of mostly recent releases, but in the future there will be a mix of new and old. Keep in mind these are records that I like. Not a proclamation of who’s HOT OR NOT in Richmond. This is just my playlist of songs I would like for people to hear. If you’re not on the list now you may very well make the next one! Salute to ALL the artists doing their thing in Richmond and all throughout the region. Let’s keep pushing!
Read MoreReleased on Election Day. One of the most pivotal of our time. A lot of things have come to a head in 2020. Richmond has been the focal point for the uprising, for the movement, for The Revolution. The transformation of the Lee Monument into what is now Marcus-David Peter Circle is nothing short of HISTORIC. I want to thank those who have fought on the front lines night in and night out against injustice and oppressive and racist police. There is no going back to sleep. America has much to be accountable for and the day of reckoning has arrived. No matter who win the election we will still have a fight on our hands. and we can’t be simply appeased. This time we need true and real change. As an artist, it is my dute to capture and speak to the times. Now we add another piece to the narrative. #REVOLUTION

Read MoreEvery year AGM (The Association Of Great Minds) which consists of Nickelus F, Radio B, Michael Millions, producer NameBrand and more put on one of, if not the most anticipated independent Richmond HipHop event of the year with Flag On The Moon. This year will be the 5th annual Flag On The Moon event at The Broadberry on December 8th. This is always an event that celebrates not only AGM’s achievements for the year but also the achievements of Richmond’s Hiphop and music scene as a whole. Also each year one of the things that makes this event special is the contest for an opening act slot. Every year artists campaign for votes to be nominated for this coveted spot. Previous years winners have been artists like Evan Barlow (Elektra Records). Mutant Acacemy (Fly Anakin, Henny L.O., Big Kahuna OG), Smyth Knight and more!. The bill is always rounded out with some of the best Richmond HipHop talents who have been making their mark during the year. This year however, AGM is looking to open their stage up to all genres for the contest. They are looking to see who the people want to see on stage this year from Hiphop to R&B to Rock and beyond...everybody has a shot! So if you want to be on that stage December 8th at The Broadberry have your fans/supporters email FlagOnTheMoon5@gmail.com to nominate you! Each email nomination counts once. Only one nomination per email address. You can also have your supporters post the Flag On The Moon 5 flyer on their IG feed (not story) nominating you with the hashtag #FlagOnTheMoon5 and tagging @agmimperial. Which will count as 3 nominations. The nomination round will ends on November 16th at which point 6 finalists will be chosen and voted on via poll on KillTheDreamer.com.

Read MoreThere was a time where artist cared about bodies of work. Albums…Catalogs…It meant something. Each song was a page, each album was book, and they were building a library worth being remembered for. Nowadays with streaming and so much flooding of content the audience attention spans are getting shorter and shorter, and artists are adjusting to that by lessening the importance of cohesive bodies of work. I personally am a catalog artist. I’m an album artist. I have singles here and there, but I’m focused on painting a bigger picture. Since 2013 when I released The Whole Foods LP I have been able to provide my music on all digital platforms, and they are able to be found altogether in one place. I have taken the time to compile a playlist including all of my albums, singles, and even feature verses. Please take the time to delve in. I would love to know what your fav albums are from my catalog, and what your fav songs are even what your favorite verses and bars are. I appreciate every person that takes the time to live with my music. We are all in this journey together. God Bless!
