The Rise Of Richmond Rap is more than a hashtag. It’s a musical revolution in our city. I have witnessed the Richmond Hiphop take it’s destiny and it’s culture into it’s own hands. A place that they used to say didn’t have it’s own sound has shown that our diversity is what makes us most unique. When i first coined this phrase I didn’t know it would be adopted by the artists in the city the way it has. This playlist series is designed to show our diversity and how much talent we have brewing. This first one is comprised of mostly recent releases, but in the future there will be a mix of new and old. Keep in mind these are records that I like. Not a proclamation of who’s HOT OR NOT in Richmond. This is just my playlist of songs I would like for people to hear. If you’re not on the list now you may very well make the next one!
